Mrs. Caitlin Ousley

Mrs. Caitlin Ousley in in her first year teaching at Saint Leonard. She graduated in 2010 with her Bachelor’s in Humanities from the University of Louisville and then went on to receive her Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education in 2012. While at UofL she was very active in Catholic Campus Ministry and was chair of the hospitality team (which meant she cooked dinner for 100 hungry college kids every Sunday evening after Mass!).

Prior to teaching science to grades 3-8 at St. Leonard, she worked for UofL’s Micro/Nano Technology Center as their safety and outreach coordinator, as a substitute for JCPS, in the Early Childhood Research Center as a research assistant and at the Kentucky Science Center as an educator and offsite programs coordinator. She is VERY excited to meld all of those experiences into what she considers a dream job – running a science lab in a Catholic elementary school setting!

When she’s not at St. Leonard, she is spending time at her other Catholic home – St. Agnes – where her husband is the youth ministry coordinator (and she works with high schoolers!), or going on mission/service trips, baking, reading or sewing (poorly).
