Children’s Liturgy of the Word
ages 5 through 2nd grade
Every Sunday, we listen and pray with God’s Word through Scripture before sharing in the Eucharist. You might know this as the part of Mass when your children are the most squirmy as they sit in the pew. Since the Scripture passages aren’t always easy to process, and homilies tend to be written by and for adults, we offer your children the opportunity to break out and explore God’s Word and teachings at their own level. During the Sunday morning 11:30 am Mass from August to May, the Children’s Liturgy of the Word provides children age 5 through 2nd grade (who have not yet made their First Communion), the opportunity to learn about the Gospel on the children’s own level.
Due to COVID-19, Children’s Liturgy of the Word has been suspended until we resume Masses at full capacity.

Family Days
For all families, targeted for children from preschool through middle school
Your family is a “domestic church,” a privileged place of prayer, learning, and sharing in Jesus Christ. Thus, we don’t just form your children in faith – we form your whole household.
On the second Sunday of each month, we host a family day with our sister parish, St. Leonard, in which parents and children play, learn, and pray together. We share a pot-luck brunch, explore new aspects of our faith, and compete for prizes. The content is designed to provide multiple layers of meaning for various ages. Family days are also a great chance for parents to get to know each other!
