Picnic Non-Picnic History
Our annual picnic non-picnic is St Frances of Rome’s largest fundraiser and, as a key contributor to the parish annual budget, helps fund church operations and allows the parish to continue to provide wonderful ministries to its members and guests.
For years, St. Frances of Rome Parish had a parish picnic along with other parishes in Jefferson County. Several years ago our parish leadership decided to drop all the work of having a picnic, and have a parish “Non-Picnic Picnic.” The thinking would be to donate monies to the tune of the amount of time and effort you would normally spend, as well as monies that you would spend on booths and raffle tickets, and make an organized donation to St. Frances of Rome.
