Mr. Joe Reed

Mr. Joe Reed grew up in Louisville, attending Ascension school from Kindergarten through 8th grade, then attending Trinity High School for four years. He then went on to Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, where he earned his degree in Elementary Education. While in Bowling Green, he spent some time substitute teaching before returning home to Louisville. Mr. Reed’s interest and knowledge of technology allows him to bring the latest technology to the St. Leonard community, and he recently received the Catholic Education Foundation’s Innovation Award for 2017! Overall, he is very thankful for the opportunity to give back to the Catholic education community.

His career has drastically evolved during his time at St. Leonard, as he added the role of Technology Coordinator not only for the school, but for both parishes of St. Frances of Rome and St. Leonard, working closely with the parish staff members to help move them to 21st century technologies and skills.

Mr. Reed and his wife, Samantha are involved with St. Leonard Athletics, serving as Gym Managers during basketball and volleyball seasons, and assist St. Leonard Church in marriage preparation for engaged couples. In his spare time, Mr. Reed enjoys spending time with his family and friends including, keeping up with his daughter Kate (3rd Grade) and his toddler son, Owen. He also likes to spend time learning about Kentucky bourbon, playing with electronics, reading comic books, and attending U of L sporting events.
