The Funeral of Deacon Peter L. Houck

Deacon Peter L. Houck passed away on May 16, 2022.  Deacon Houck was a longtime beloved parishioner of St. Frances of Rome parish along with his wife, Mary Lou Houck.  Deacon Houck was installed into the diaconate on August 21, 1976 and was ordained in the Archdiocese of Louisville’s first class of Permanent Deacons.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Murphy; sons, Peter Thomas (Lisha Barre) and John Gregory (Christy Parks), seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several cherished nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

Visitation was held at St. Frances of Rome church on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 10:00am – 11:00am.  The funeral mass followed at 11:00am with Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre presiding and Fr. James Flynn as homilist.
