Parish Updates
Dear St. Frances of Rome Parishioners,
May God bless you! I hope you have a wonderful holiday week celebrating and giving thanks to God for our independence and for our freedom. Always remember that it is “In God we trust!”
I would like to update you on some staff changes. Fr. Chandler and I have been working with those who have been serving both St. Frances of Rome and St. Leonard. We have met with everyone, and we believe we have a good plan in place. I first want to thank Mr. Jerry Clayton, who for many, many years has served our parish well in the position of Custodian/Maintenance. As of July 1, Jerry no longer serves us in that role, but I assured him as a long time and devoted parishioner of St. Frances of Rome, when he is willing and able, I would love for him to give back his time and talents to our parish as much as he can. Please join me in thanking Jerry for his service and dedication!
Mr. Steve King will assume the role of Director of Facilities and Operations for both St. Frances of Rome and Holy Trinity. Steve will have an office at both locations.
Mrs. Allison Deaton will assume the role of Accounting Specialist for both St. Frances of Rome and Holy Trinity. Allison’s office will be at Holy Trinity.
Mrs. Sharon Coonan will take on a new assignment at St. Leonard only. I know Fr. Chandler is excited for her to use her gifts in service to the St. Leonard community. I want to personally thank her for her genuine care and kindness she has shown the people of God here at St. Frances of Rome. She assures me she is just a phone call away If we need her for anything.
Ms. Sharon Bidwell will continue to serve both St. Frances of Rome and St. Leonard coordinating our Formation efforts. Sharon will also take on additional responsibilities at St. Frances of Rome in the areas of Pastoral Care and Outreach. She will have an office at St. Leonard and she will have a space here at St. Frances of Rome.
Joining us at St. Frances of Rome while remaining at Holy Trinity are Mr. Bruce Hines, who will serve as the Business Manager for both parishes and will keep his office at Holy Trinity, and Ms. Terri Hayes who will serve as our Finance Manager. Terri’s office will also remain at Holy Trinity.
I want to thank our volunteers who help cover in the front office. I am still working on filling that position with a staff member, but nothing has been determined at this time. I will be meeting with Judith and Marquita to discuss the direction we need to take for our vacant Music Director position. Please pray that the Holy Spirit moves us in the right direction.
