“I announce to you a great joy!” So the announcement of a new pope begins. And so this announcement should begin too, because our parishes are now open for worship at 100% capacity! Social distancing and masks only need to be maintained by those who are not vaccinated. We will be processing forward for Communion again. And taking up collection. It feels like it must have been ten years we’ve been in varying degrees of lockdown, so I know everyone’s comfort level will be different for a while. But let’s rejoice as vaccines seem to be bringing an end to Covid closer here in our country.
